Common questions

Money, Quotes and Offers

What payment options do you offer?

We'll run through the options when we quote the job, and payment happens once the work's done, not before. There's a $0 call-out fee regardless of how you pay.

Is the quote really free?

Yes, completely. We give you the price up front to approve, and there's no charge just for having someone come and look.

Why isn't the lowest price your main focus?

Because the lowest number on paper isn't much good if the fix doesn't hold. We focus on a fair price and work that's backed for life instead of racing anyone to the bottom.

How does your upfront fixed pricing work?

We look at the job, work out a set price with you, and that's what you pay, no matter how long it actually takes us. Nothing changes on the invoice once you've said yes.

Common questions

The Legal Stuff, Made Simple

What is your lifetime labour warranty?

Our labour on any repair is guaranteed for as long as that work stands. If our own workmanship falls short, we'll return and make it right, no argument.

Who is responsible for a blocked sewer, me or Sydney Water?

Generally, everything up to your boundary trap is yours, and the main beyond that is Sydney Water's. We check which side a blockage sits on before quoting anything.

Can I fix a plumbing emergency myself?

Turning off the water at the stop tap or isolating a fixture is fine and often sensible. Anything beyond that, particularly gas work, needs a licensed tradesperson by law in NSW.

Are your plumbers qualified to work on gas?

Yes. Gas fitting sits within our own licence, so we don't subcontract it out or make you wait on a specialist.

Common questions

Response, Timing and Booking

Do you work weekends and public holidays?

Weekends and public holidays get treated like any other day here, calls still get answered and jobs still get booked.

What happens after I call?

A real person talks through what's going on, we book a licensed plumber to come out, and you get a fixed price before any work begins. Simple as that.

How fast can you get here?

Usually the same day, especially for anything genuinely urgent. Call and we'll tell you honestly what to expect for your specific situation.

What counts as a plumbing emergency?

Anything spreading, any smell of gas, or a house left with zero hot water all qualify. Not certain either way? Ring anyway and we'll talk it through together.

Common questions

Local to Cherrybrook

Do you take on local new builds and renovation work?

Yes, alongside emergency call-outs. Cherrybrook's mix of original 1980s homes and newer builds means we're regularly asked to tie new plumbing into an older system.

How local are you, really?

Cherrybrook and the streets around it are a regular part of our coverage, not a suburb we occasionally pass through. It's genuinely part of our everyday run.

Why do Cherrybrook's older homes get plumbing emergencies?

Most of the suburb went up through the 1980s on former orchard and rural land, and hot water systems and drainage from that era are old enough now that a sudden failure barely counts as bad luck.

Do you handle strata and units in Cherrybrook?

Yes. Cherrybrook is mostly standalone houses, but the newer townhouse pockets that have filled in since still need us for shared drainage and hot water issues from time to time.
